Status: On-going

This 240 year old home was the first residential property in Lenox deeded by the Massachusetts Bay Colony in 1765. It was built in 1766-67 by Israel Dewey. The house served as an Inn, Tavern and Home over the many years. Some of it's 18th century owners include: Edward Gray, Simon and Rachel Smith, Edward Hay, David and Daniel Fellows, Samuel Wright (first town clerk), Joseph Goodwin, Luke Gates and Colonel Laddock Hubbard.

In addition to it's very lengthy history of owners it also has a paranormal history. Things have been moved around, alarm clocks go off without being set, doors have been slammed and light bulbs shatter on their own. A woman, baby and cat have also been seen here. The feeling that you are not alone can also be felt from time to time.

Investigation

During the Interview here we were taking baseline readings and outside one of the "haunted" rooms we got 33.7 mG for EMF and -110.1 F. for temp. This happened right after a door moved shut on us when we were standing in front of it.

During the investigation a little girl with curls in her hair was seen as well as a man with a mustache. We heard knocking on the floor when we asked the ghost to make a noise for us to show us of his presence. And we also heard someone clanging around in the kitchen like they were trying to make a meal. A strong feeling of being watched was felt at times as well.
